			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>NYC’s renowned outdoor political spectacular theatrical company, Circus Amok, is seeking a <strong>Female Acrobat of Color</strong> for our September 2012 parks tour.  Rehearsals run weekdays late July through Aug 31, including some time in late August away from NYC, followed by 6-8 paid performances in September, weekends, Sept 1-16.  Rehearsals are paid.</p>
<p>Circus Amok is a one ring, no-animal, non-profit, circus/theater company dedicated to social change and fabulous spectacle.</p>
<p>Auditions will be held at our Brooklyn rehearsal space:<br />
Fridays:<br />
<strong>April 6th -  7pm-9pm</strong><br />
<strong>April 13th – 7pm-9pm</strong></p>
<p>The audition will include time for individual warm-up, acrobatics, juggling and physical comedy if you do that, and some improvisation.  In addition there will be time to show individual skills.<br />
Please be aware that Circus Amok doesn’t do ariel work.</p>

<p>Circus Amok is New York City’s only award-winning, one-ring, no-animal, outdoor, political circus/theater company.  Founded in 1989 by theater artist and renowned sideshow performer Jennifer Miller, Circus Amok has been touring city parks each summer since 1994.  Circus Amok brings wildly fantastical, funny, sharp, glamorous and compelling circus spectacles that grapple with issues of social justice to diverse audiences of more than 10,000 fans each season.</p>
