Ashley Brockington is enjoying her fifth season playing with the freaks of Circus Amok. Over the years it's become "the most fun that [she] has all year!" Ashley's background is in modern and West African dance. She loves to shake it to soulful house music and drums in the park. Identifying as a performance artist, Ashley is into using voice, dance and song to tell real life stories. In 2004 at the Radical Performance Fest in San Francisco, Ashley had her debut as a choreographer/performance artist with piece called 'Black Grrrlz R Dee-licious." Now that she is officially a New Yorker, she plans to grace our local stages with her interpretation of "Black is Beautiful." Keep your eye out!!
